Frequently asked questions

What is the Temple Society Australia?

The Temple Society Australia is a faith-based, values-led community that focuses on thoughtful reflection, ethical living and human connection. We bring people together through shared beliefs, cultural traditions, community activities and opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways.

Many people start by visiting, attending an event or simply learning more. Membership is available if and when you feel ready, but there’s no pressure to join.

We offer faith services, community events, cultural celebrations, discussion groups, volunteer initiatives and social gatherings. Some are reflective and quiet, others are practical or social — there’s a wide mix.

You’ll be welcomed, but there’s no expectation to take part or know what to do. You’re free to observe, listen, ask questions or simply get a feel for the space and the people.

You’re welcome to engage in whatever way feels comfortable for you. Listening and reflecting quietly is just as valued as active participation.

Families and children are part of our community life and many of our activities are family-friendly. Children are welcome to be themselves.

Some people attend occasionally, others volunteer, join a group or become members over time. There’s no set pathway — you can take things slowly and choose what suits you.

We share services online so people can stay connected even if they can’t attend in person.
