From playgroup to bowling club, and everything in between, there is a way for you to get involved. We’re all about community and making connections, with or without religion. Our groups, social clubs and religious services are open to all and you don’t need to be a member to participate.
Our community has a strong family focus and our Groups reflect this.
Our heritage is not just about religion and re-settlement. Our social clubs reflect our cultural traditions. We even have our own bowling alleys!
We also run a German Language School for primary and secondary school students at our Bentleigh and Bayswater centres.
Our Religious Services and rituals follow our founding philosophy - a simple commitment to strive towards creating the Kingdom of God in the world. Our rituals are few and our religious services are less ceremonial and more contemplative and devotional.
This is the most important work we do; looking after each other is a priority. We employ our own Community Care Worker to provide support services to the Templer community. We established the Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged, in partnership with the Australian German Welfare Society, to care for our elderly members. We run programs to provide assistance to the wider community.
